The short version

  • Your calculator inputs stay in your browser. We do not receive, store, or see the numbers you enter.
  • There are no user accounts. We never ask for passwords or payment details.
  • If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you send — only so we can reply.
  • Like most free websites, we use third-party analytics and advertising services that use cookies. Where the law requires it, they only do so after you consent.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

1. Who we are

This policy covers the website at simplecalculators.app ("Simple Calculators", "we", "us"). It explains what information is handled when you use the site and the choices you have. The quickest way to reach us about privacy is our contact form.

2. Calculator inputs

Values you type into calculators — incomes, weights, dates, measurements — are processed entirely in your browser with JavaScript. They are never sent to our servers. To make the site convenient, your browser keeps a little data on your device:

  • Session storage holds the inputs for a calculator so they survive a page refresh. Your browser deletes it when you close the tab.
  • Local storage remembers your light or dark theme, a short list of calculators you recently opened, calculators you saved with the Save button, and the last category you filtered by on the all-calculators page. It holds calculator names only — never the values you typed — and stays on your device until you clear your browser data.

Shared links. Some calculators have a “Copy link” button that puts the numbers you entered (amounts, rates and durations — never personal details like age, salary or health data) into the link address. Anyone you send it to can see those numbers, and like any page address the link is recorded by our page analytics when it is opened. Only share links you are comfortable sharing.

We cannot see or access this stored data. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

3. Live-data calculators

A few calculators show live market data — the currency converter, historical exchange rate calculator, crypto converter, and crypto profit calculator. To fetch current rates, your browser contacts the data provider directly (Frankfurter for exchange rates and CoinGecko for crypto prices). Like any website you load, those providers receive your IP address and browser details with the request. The request names only the base currency, date, or coins being priced; the amounts you enter are never sent.

4. Contact form

When you send a message, we receive the name, reply email address, subject, and message you provide. We use them only to read and answer your message, and to fix any issue you report. Messages are delivered through a third-party form-forwarding service acting on our behalf. We keep messages only as long as needed to handle your request, then delete them. You can ask us to delete a message at any time through the contact form. Please don't include sensitive personal information, such as health or financial account details, in your message.

5. Analytics and advertising

The following services may collect usage information when you visit — pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and the page that referred you:

6. Cookies and your consent

We do not set advertising or tracking cookies of our own. Google Analytics and Google AdSense set cookies as described above. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, these services are kept in a restricted mode until you make a choice in the consent message shown on your first visit. You can change that choice at any time from the privacy or cookie settings link in the consent message. Everywhere else, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The calculators work fully with cookies disabled.

7. Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

Where data-protection law such as the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for analytics and advertising cookies. We rely on our legitimate interests to run, secure, and improve the site and to answer messages you send us. You can withdraw consent at any time; doing so does not affect processing that already took place.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

US state privacy laws (including California): we do not sell personal information for money. Allowing advertising partners to use cookies for personalized ads may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some state laws. You can opt out using the controls in Section 5, or by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser where supported.

Because we hold almost no personal information ourselves, most requests are best handled through the third-party controls linked above. For anything else — including messages you sent us — use the contact form. We will respond within the time the applicable law requires.

9. International transfers

Our hosting, analytics, and advertising providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Those providers use recognized safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, for transfers from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.

10. Security and retention

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. We keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to handle them. Third-party services keep data under their own retention policies, linked above.

11. Children's privacy

Simple Calculators is a general-audience site. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, use the contact form and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes, such as adding a new analytics or advertising provider, are posted here before they take effect.

13. Contact

Questions or requests about this policy can be sent through our contact form.
